Application Process
How the Application Process Works
Submit an application
You can submit and track the status of your application on our Student Portal or through one of our contracted educational representatives/agents. It is important that you provide up-to-date contact information so you can receive updates and more information about your admission. When preparing your documents, please make sure to provide copies of your Academic and English qualifications and a valid passport.
Please note: there is no application fee.
Wait to receive your offer
There are two types of offer letters:
- Conditional If your offer is conditional, it means we need to receive further documentation or evidence of your qualifications before offering you a place. Please upload your documents on the Student Portal or share them with your educational representative. Remember to include your Student ID as a reference.
- Unconditional If you receive an unconditional offer, it means that you have met all the entry criteria for your course and that you have secured a place at UPIC.
Accept your offer
Congratulations on your offer to study at UPIC!
Once you have received an unconditional offer letter, you need to complete and return the Acceptance Forms attached to your offer.
Please note: the NavInsure cover is optional. You can find more details about the insurance here.
Pay the tuition fee deposit
Now, all you need to do is pay the tuition fee deposit. Payments should be paid directly to the University of Plymouth bank details provided in your offer pack. You can choose to pay online on our website or by bank transfer. Please ensure you include your Student ID in the payment reference.
If you are a sponsored student, please provide us with a copy of your Financial Guarantee Letter (FGL).
Receive your CAS letter
If you require a Student visa to study in the UK, you need to obtain a Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) from us before you can submit a visa application. Our Admissions Team will contact you or your educational representative to advise what documents you need to submit. We will issue your CAS once we ensure that your documents meet our criteria.
Submit your student visa application
Once you have received your CAS statement, you can submit your visa application. Please keep us posted on the outcome of your application.
Book your accommodation
At UPIC, we offer a large range of accommodation options to suit every student’s needs. Whether you would prefer to live in halls of residence, a self-contained flat, or a shared house, you can find out more in our accommodation section and take your pick. Take time to thoroughly research available options and book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Registration and enrolment
Registration and enrolment takes place face-to-face. Once you have received your visa and booked your accommodation in Plymouth, you will need to book your flights at least one week before your registration takes place. We will send you detailed registration information in due course so that you can plan ahead.
Bring your documents for registration
We need physical copies of your passport, entry clearance vignette, BRP letter and accommodation contract, so make sure you have them all with you when you arrive. Registration takes place at UPIC, and our friendly College Services team will guide you through all steps you need to complete to officially become a student at UPIC and the University of Plymouth.
We can’t wait to welcome you!
