Student Journal

Welcome to the first ever UPIC Student Journal! The goal is to celebrate outstanding work from our students here at the College.

This edition showcases the top research reports produced in the Research and Referencing module during the Spring and Summer semesters in 2024. Each report scored above 85%, which is an impressive achievement for students writing this type of academic work for the first time.

The six featured students are now studying a wide range of subjects, including Computer Science, Marine Technology, Marine Biology, Ophthalmology, Psychology and Nursing. Their chosen topics reflect their future pathways, and the quality of their research and writing shows the strong potential they are already demonstrating at university! Only small formatting adjustments were made for consistency. Everything else is the students’ own work.

Our two overall winners, Sophia Krasowski from Spring 2024, and Erin Colebrooke from Summer 2024, were both shortlisted for Student of the Year. It came as no surprise that they produced such high-level reports. We also congratulate the four other students included in the journal, as well as those on the shortlist. The standard was extremely high, and reaching the top six in each semester is something to be proud of.
